Please fill out this form if you intend to audition for a Linn-Mar Show Choir this year!

Vocal Auditions

Vocal Auditions for next year’s show choir will be done online. Students will record themselves singing the selected cut of a song a cappella and send it to us to score. You may record as many times as you like, but only send your final copy.

We will also have a Vocal Audition Help Night on Tuesday, April 30th, from 7:00-8:15pm in the Linn-Mar High School Choir Room. This night is where all students come in and get some helpful tips about their audition and some vocal support on the audition song. Students can enter door 2 on the North side of the high school at 6:40pm. This is not a mandatory part of the audition, but an option to improve!

Choreography Auditions

Choreography auditions for next year’s show choir will be done online. Students will record themselves dancing a choreographed routine and send it to us to score. You may record as many times as you like, but only send your final copy.

Both Learning sessions will take place in LRC Gym in the SW corner of the parking lot. Enter through the door on the 10^th Street side of the building.

• Monday, May 20 6:30-9:00pm– Current 9-11th Graders
  • 6:30pm-7:45pm- Tenors and Basses
  • 7:45pm-9:00pm- Sopranos and Altos
• Tuesday, May 21 6:30-9:00pm– Current 8^th Graders
  • 6:30pm-7:45pm- Tenors and Basses
  • 7:45pm-9:00pm- Sopranos and Altos (Tenors and Basses invited to stay and practice in the High School Choir Room on the North side of the high school.)

You MUST show your entire body, head to toe, in the video you submit. We need to see your footwork and arm work in the video. If you do not follow these guidelines we will contact you about resubmitting your video.

Dance Audition videos need to be submitted NO LATER than May 24^th at 11:59pm

Results will be posted on Twitter (@LinnMarChoirs), Instagram, and via email before the end of the day on May 31st. Results will also be posted on this page. 

Keep an eye out for announcements regarding organizational meetings for the three groups once results have been posted.
